Federal Government

  • Department of Education, Employment and Workplace Relations (DEEWR)
    Gives clear guidelines to Federal funding for Child Care Services, assists to make informed decisions about purchasing or investing in the development of Child Care Services.
  • National Childcare Accreditation Council (NCAC)
    Administers the Quality Improvement and Accreditation System (QIAS) for Long Day Care Centres, Family Day Care Quality Assurance (FDCQA) for Family Day Care Schemes and Outside School Hours Care (OSHCQA) across Australia.
  • Family Assistance Office
    The Family Assistance Office offers a one stop shop for Australian families to gain better access to government services. Families are able to get all their payments from just one place the Family Assistance Office.
  • Australian Taxation Office
    Information is provided for families on the Childcare Rebate.

Industry Organisations

  • These associations are affiliated with national peak bodies which advocate for the child care industry with government. The Child Care Associations offer individual centre operators membership of a professional organisation which provides support, training and a range of networking opportunities for their members. Members also benefit from access to specialist insurance, an industrial and wage rate service, and information on programming and equipment. These Associations may also be able to assist with local area information.
  • Early Childhood Australia
    Early Childhood Australia will advocate to ensure quality, social justice and equity in all issues relating to the education and care of children from birth to eight years.
  • Child Care NSW
    Child Care NSW is available to support and assist private child care operators in their commitment to providing high quality Child Care.
  • Community Child Care Co-operative
    Community Child Care Co-operative is the peak-body for community-based children's services in NSW, Australia, providing training, support and publications.
  • Child Care Centres Association of Victoria
    The Child Care Centres Association of Victoria is member focused and will serve all members by providing leadership in Children’s Services, providing information of industry trends, current research, and training. It will represent members at all levels of Government, providing up-to-date legal advice and information. Also having a presence at all relevant projects, working groups, industrial representations and in the media.
  • Childcare Queensland
    Childcare Queensland is the peak body for private long day care centres in this State. Working with over 175,000 Queensland parents to provide care to 100,000 children.
  • Childcare Associations Australia Inc
    Childcare Associations Australia Inc is the national peak body representing diverse children’s services through its Member State and Territory Associations. It represents predominantly LDC services and is committed to providing ethical and professional representation for State and Territory Member Associations, to ensure a viable, high quality children’s services sector.



Professional Support Coordinators

Professional Support Coordinators are funded by the Australian Government Department of Department of Families, Community Services and Indigenous Affairs (FaCSIA) to assist all services as they progress through CCQA.
